My love for cars started at the age of three, when my aunt and uncle gave me my first pedal car—a Red Baby Kart a Go-Go. You couldn’t pry me out of it, and I probably racked up more than 250,000 pedal miles. I still have it today (see picture above)! Growing up, we also had Volkswagen Bugs and an Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser, and I still wish we had them. That’s where my lifelong passion for those two brands began.

I learned incredible values from my parents. My dad taught me to use my hands and tackle projects. He could fix anything, and I loved the satisfaction of completing a job! My mom taught me two lessons that shaped me. First: respect and care for what you value. Her teak dining table was her pride and joy, and she cared for it meticulously. Second: it’s not clean until it’s truly clean. When I did chores, she always inspected my work. I never liked a redo, so I learned to sweat the details!

At 15, I got my first car, a 1971 Chevy Monte Carlo. Rust and all, it was my cruiser, and I washed it every week. I promised myself that when I could afford a new car, I’d care for it like my mom cared for her table—and I’ve kept that promise.

Later in life, I found my dream car: a 1968 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible. I restored it and still drive it today. I’ve since added a 1965 VW Bug (just like the old days). Some of my best days are spent driving and detailing those cars from bumper to bumper.

What began as a self-taught passion grew into a profession. I trained with Renny Doyle’s Detailing Success program, became part of the Detail Mafia, and earned certification from the International Detailers Association (IDA). Like any true craft, I keep learning and refining every day.

I’ve spent much of my career in business, often with automotive brands, but detailing was always my weekend joy. Now, it’s my business. Whether maintaining a cherished vehicle or reviving a neglected one, I treat every car with the same care and attention as my own.
